Terms of Service

1. Service Description

SplitCoach is a web-based application that connects to your Concept2 Logbook account to provide workout analytics, training analysis, and AI-powered coaching. By creating an account and using SplitCoach, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.

3. Subscription and Pricing

SplitCoach is a paid service priced at $12/month or $99/year. All features are included: workout dashboard, progress charts, personal records, training analysis, personalized training plans, post-workout coaching insights, weekly plan adaptation, AI coach chat, technique drills, damper guidance, and email notifications. A 14-day free trial with full access is available for new users.

4. Billing and Cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in Settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. Free Trial

New users automatically receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required. Each user is eligible for one free trial. When the trial expires, you must subscribe to continue using SplitCoach.

6. AI-Generated Content

SplitCoach uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate training plans, workout insights, training analysis narratives, and chat responses. This content is generated based on your workout data and profile, and is intended as general fitness guidance.

AI-generated coaching is not medical advice. You should consult a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program or if you have health concerns. SplitCoach is not a substitute for professional medical or coaching advice.

7. Concept2 Integration

SplitCoach accesses your Concept2 Logbook data via OAuth with read-only permissions. SplitCoach is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Concept2, Inc. Concept2 and the Concept2 logo are trademarks of Concept2, Inc.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the service beyond normal use
• Resell or redistribute AI-generated coaching content

9. Limitation of Liability

SplitCoach is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to injuries sustained while following AI-generated training plans. Your use of SplitCoach is at your own risk.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
